A Message From the Treasurer
As most of you are aware, The St Catherine’s Hill Community Hall is used by many to enjoy, events, classes and meetings, and is overseen by the voluntary trustees. I have been involved since the Hall was first muted from 2000, and feel the time has come to retire as Treasurer.
The job of Treasurer, is not an arduous one, as the payroll is now administered by our accountants Chorus. The duties are ensuring bills are paid, monies deposited, and accounts kept in order,; to present to the Trustees each month, and the accountants at the end of the financial year – 31st March. Once completed a Return to the Charity Commission is required, a straight forward process. Our bookings secretary sends out invoices to and chases hirers for payment
If you are willing to help, and feel you have the necessary skills please contact me and I will be happy to answer any queries you may have. I announced at the AGM this month that I will be retiring at the end of the financial year 31st March 2026. I should point out that failure to fill the position of Treasurer will have consequences for the future running of the Hall.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Cllr Sue Spitttle

St Catherines Hill, an area of outstanding natural beauty and the highest point in Christchurch, is home to a modern, spacious and
welcoming community hall.
Many events are held here on a regular basis and the Hall is also hired out for private functions such as children's parties, lunches, teas and quizzes.
Due to it's residential location it isn't suitable for teenage parties and evening functions need to finish by 11pm.
